Probably if you change the knobs on the control plate. Be careful though because some MIM Standards are routed for soapbars in the neck like my fretless.
Just take the pickguard off and find out it'll only take 5 minutes of your time, hardly worth making a thread for.

If it's the Fender Standard Jazz Bass with the same colour (the link at the top doesn't go to a anything), then yes.

If I had to guess, there is probably some extra routing around the neck pickup underneath that pickguard, but I'm not totally sure. However, you will have a bunch of noticeable holes where the pickguard screws used to go and that will look not nearly as nice as the second link there.

I daresay he's going for the Jaco look, and Jaco's original bass had the screw holes uncovered. Honestly I think they should've left them on the sig.
