So yeah, after hearing this song enough, i felt like doing a metal (well, metalcore if anything) styled cover of it in my own way haha. Tell me what you think!

lol this is a good idea! I was a bit disappointed though because I was really hoping you would do an epic solo or something!!! What you did fit too well and I barely thought it was metal

ANOTHER one?

I would be some kind of stupid if I thought covering this song was original, but honestly, I think mine's somewhat unique compared to a lot of the other covers out there

Every band is a lotr metal band. Metal is like Guile's theme for Lotr.

I think you should have done a proper song instead of just playing over it (not only does it save people from having to listen to that song over again, there's more room for stuff in the backing). Secondly, the riff in the chorus sounds more like a harmony to another riff than an actual riff and sounds out of place. I also wouldn't really call it metal, maybe just rock.

Opinion on my version? - https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1424786

It was ok, it's like you just found the chords and played them over and over again with little variations here and there.. Sounded really pop punky and not even close to black metal.

Edit: Goddamn it, just realized I read it as black metal..

It's still not metalcore or even metal though.
