Just got some of these picks:

So here's a pic:

And I have got to say they are amazing, it's not like normal fingerpicks where it takes ages to get used to them, these I could just use straight away!

Does anyone else here use them?

If not I recommend them, it's like normal picking without picks but with the superior tone, and you can do strum downwards with them as well which I can't do with normal fingerpicks.

Just thought I'd give them a shout out as I haven't seen them in many places but they are seriously awesome

i didn't find alaska fingerpicks to be easy to get used to, but they do have the advantage of playing more like your nails. on the other hand, if you don't have some nail protruding, these work very poorly.

I just looked in my Oxford English Dictionary and under "Acoustic Guitar", there was your Avatar and an email address!

I have one for each fingernail.

I find them incredibly useful and have been a fan of them for years.
Sincerely, Chad.

Oh yeah, one thing I'd like to point out though is that the brass ones definitely aren't nearly as good as the plastic ones

Also, what's wrong with posting links?

I think it's because the website gets its money from advertising and posting links... well, it's advertising for them companies isn't it?

EDIT: I am thinking about getting some of these, but I bite my nails and don't like having long nails.

In other words, how do people without nails fare?

Well, you have to have about 1mm minimum on the distal edge of the nail plate. As long as you have about 1mm, the picks will stay on just fine. I'm extremely picky about my nails and have them all trimmed to a uniform length of 1.2mm evenly across the distal edge.
Sincerely, Chad.

If you get one thats a size too small it will still go on, it'll just be a tight fit, but you may be able to go without the excess nail

Otherwise, what he said ^

This, pretty much. UG's only real source of income is ads.

I'll be buying some of these when I get my next student loan. I noticed Sungha Jung uses them so I figured they must be at least decent.

I'm gonna buy a clip on tuner too, and an assortment of picks to try out. I like accessorizing. Maybe some bone pins but I'm not sure if they're worth it.

Ah right, thanks for the explanation!

^ And yeah, I loooove accessorizing
Only I've never seen the appeal of clip-on tuners
