i was like to listen to a lot of music from a lot of genres, but no else in my circle of friends do. I was wondering what do people like, and is it like my tatse of music.

If not I would not care and keep on listening to my favorites.

Electronic and dance music has taken over my mp3 player, but I still like to have a bit of everything on it. Listening to the same genre over and over again gets boring.

Experimental Electronica/ IDM. Breakcore too.
And 1960s music.
It's a tie between them both.
There's a good chance that what I've written above is useless and if you take any of the advice it's your own fault.

I listen to both kinds. Country and Western.
The UG Awards exist only to instill me with existential doubt.

For me, the 60's ended that day in 1978...

Chose rock, metal, punk and classical.

Although, I consider metal and punk to be specific types of rock.

EDIT: Anything with distorted guitars is of interest.

In the poll I said classical, jazz, and metal (more specifically sludge, grindcore, and other types of core), so those three wide-ranging genres are my favourite. However there are songs I enjoy from every genre. Hell, Foggy Mountain Breakdown is one of my favourite songs ever - which actually doesn't say a whole lot because I love bluegrass, even though I don't listen to it regularly.

I chose Metal and Punk, but I mostly listen to Gothic Rock stuff from the early 80's/late 70's such as Bauhaus or Siouxsie and the Banshees. I'm also really into Industrial, Aggrotech, EBM, Breakcore and Harsh/Power Noise.

Give me some good bands. I've been falling in love with electronic stuff, but don't know what to listen to. So far, I love LCD Soundsystem, Ratatat, Yeasayer, Passion Pit to an extent, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs' last album. So yeah, I'm totally lacking in awesome electronic stuff. So yeah, at least start me out with some easy stuff, I'm still working my way into the genre, but anything's welcome.
