I've been to Asheville before, and it seemed like a pretty cool place. Unfortunately, I was dragged to Biltmore and other places I found dull.

People have said that Asheville has a great indie scene. Anyhow, a couple of friends and I thought about taking a day trip there soon since we live only a couple of hours away. If we can find a good rock show, we might catch it, but other than that I don't know what to do.

Anyone who lives in Asheville/travels there/has traveled there have suggestion?
He's a freak of nature, but we love him so.

Music isn't the Olympics. It's not about showing other people what you can do with a piece of wood in your hands that has strings on, it's about making sounds that are good.
I highly recommend the Tupelo Honey Cafe.

Go like a hour out of the the way and go to Pittsboro. Hit up S&T's Soda Shoppe, that place is the ****ing bomb.
There are some great head shops in Asheville if you like glass.
