I was looking for a goldtop LP that I could swap the pups on (becuase I can't afford Gibson), and I ran into this site.

I was wondering if any of you know is this is a legit site. If you know if it is, PLEASE help me, I have been waiting for a long time to get an electric.

There are many things that concern me with this site, especially the fact is says, "AAA Flame Maple Top" AND IT'S A GOLDTOP, and it says, "Zebra pickups", and they obviously are not.

I would stay away from it, plus I think the slash appetite lp only came with a flame maple top.

Ya I would definatly stay away, that webpage looks like the spam you get from stupid websites..
Anything that looks sketchy 9 times out of 10 mostly likely is....

If you have to ask then it's probably not trustworthy, to me it looks pretty stock for a shopping site and I know for a fact being in the business that you can set one up in a day. It looks like it's hosted on a shared hosting server with Just Host as well which doesn't lend much credibility. A larger and more reliable dealer would have their own dedicated server. Don't get me wrong, this doesn't say for a fact it's a scam but it doesn't lend credibility.

I don't know how legit that site is but the guitar seems to pass most of the 'fake or not' tests that I know of... i would try to find reviews of people that have used the site in the past and have had a positive buy and what not.

The fact that they have to write This epiphone guitar is 100% new and genuine! is red flag number one.

Another dead give away is this:

See that Epiphone booklet? Says "the casino"

I'm pretty sure that's a poster of the Epiphone Casino, on the back is the Epiphone range. I got one with my Epi Les Paul Junior. That's neither here nor there. Basically, stick to reputable dealers, you don't want to be the first one to try them.

It's stickied for a reason.

Don't risk it, those photos seem really similar to those fake Epi's made by low quality Chinese sellers like this http://www.dhgate.com/wholesale/Epiphone.html#search.

To be honest when it comes to Gibsons/Epiphone I would either get it from the most trusted guitar sites or visit a shop in person to buy it

lol at the website layout. no way i'd order from that.

Also, theres no address/phone number on the website at all. not even on the returns page. and i googled it and theres a few other forums with people saying they sell fake epiphones
