Many of you have seen this:

The Tim Tamp
5F1 Champ clone

And there's this:

The Vegedrive
A Keeley TS808 clone

The latest build which is almost complete:

Valve bass preamp

I also recently modded an FX loop into my Abbey valve amp which required the addition of an extra valve.
And there's a new special purpose amp in the works atm too.

Tim Tams are an iconic Australian biscuit. A chocolate biscuit with a chocolate cream filling all coated in chocolate. Tastiest biscuit ever made. As Australian as Vegemite.

Greg what did you send me??

make you better at guitar.

one is the original on/off button for buffered bypass and calibration.
other is footswitchable presets.

toggle at the top locks the footswitch for presets to avoid nasty accidents live.

The only interesting thing I built is a Madamp G2, which is a 2w amp kit you can purchase at musikding.

I also got a kit for a TS808 clone (with a switch for symmetrical/asymmetrical clipping and true bypass) and a Fulltone '69 clone kit. Apart from that, I built a clone of a Crunch Box, it not being a kit for a change. Surprisingly, making lists of parts and sourcing them was a lot of fun, so was developing a layout.

Man thats ****ing awesome! how much would it cost to get something similar done but for 240v?

Thanks! It really just depends on what is done, what parts are used, etc. But having it set up for 240v is no more expensive than 120v. Just connecting different transformer wires is all.

Basically you built a tube amp in a Rage 158 chassis?

Yes. That's what the customer wanted.
#27
Cool stuff. I'll try to find pics of my fuzz and overdrive builds.

Gut shot of my OD2 build. Boost side works like gravy. I think I fried a resistor or somethin in the TS808 side though.
Warning: The above post may contain lethal levels of radiation, sharp objects and sexiness.
Proceed with extreme caution!

Whats the point?
If you have a nice tube amp, why the heck do you wanna stick it inside a cheapo SS amp's chassis?

He was on a tight budget and the Rage was what he had sitting around. He wanted a nice little tube practice amp and he wanted me to build it. This suited the purpose quite well.

Still want a Whipple inductor in there and a fuzzfriendly output buffer.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Feel free to express yours so I can make an informed judgement about how stupid you are.

Rev E Dynacomp, attack setting mod, and boosted the output cap to restore low end.

GE AC128 Arbiter FF Clone, extra pot to control the voltage from the battery.

My butchered small clone, makes toast for me and controls the temperature of the sun.

Clyde mccoy I built into a V847a, pots to control gain, mids, 6 way switchable sweep and vocal pot. Desperately needs a new pot and a whipple though...

Ive made a footswitch and cables and shit too. And took an old MIM strat body+neck, all it had was the bridge and tuners.

That other hole in the pickguard is now a switch for coil splitting, the other switch is a kill switch, pickup is a GFS power rail, graphtech nut.
