Do any of you know any artists who play such music?

Here's an example.

OK, maybe it's not the best example, but you'll get the idea after the harmonica comes in.

I want to listen to artists who do this: play nasty, bluesly solos over nice, drony pads.

Some jazz like this would be nice too.

that's prob not what you're looking for, but it has a harmonica, lol.

Good song, but yeah, not what I'm looking for.

Very nice. Pretty close.

anything off of Kurt Rosenwinkel's Heartcore album.

The percussion is a bit too shamanistic/tribal for me. If it was light and minimal, I would've liked it more.

Keep 'em coming!

As close as I got.

I post this song too much.

Too funky for my pants.

Not hugely similar, but awesome.

I know this band.

Bohren too.

Zephyr do some pretty expansive blues numbers. Also, Sweet Maree by Steve Miller Band is pretty damn cool. Rhyader Goes to Town by Camel has a Pink Floyd-esque bluesy breakdown. In fact, lots of Pink Floyd is very blues-influenced, cf. Money, Sheep, etc.

I figured Pink Floyd would be too obvious to mention.

Checking out Zephyr.

I reccommend their first album, released 1969 called Zephyr. Check out Sweet Maree, too, that's exactly what you're looking for I think.
