Well what would be the appropriate string gauge for Drop C on a 24.75 Scale? because the string i have on it is all floppy. ALSO if i put on the strings do i have to adjust anything? Also with Drop B do i have to adjust anything on the guitar? I have a Schecter c-1 PLus

i used 10's when i played in drop c
and it was fine.

when my old band said let play in drop b i used 11's

my guitar didnt need a set up because the action is retarded good, but you may need to set yours up or have it set up.

You're going to go that low, but a seven-string. Don't ruin your guitar

Matt Pike tunes to C standard and uses a Gibson Les Paul. Electric Wizard tunes even lower than that and use Gibsons. he is hardly ruining his guitar...

but yea you will probably have to adjust the intonation and the truss rod. i used to use 12's for C standard. so yea.

Are you kidding? Drop c isnt even that low? And the OP wouldnt even get the desired result of the DROP c tuning with a 7 string since its b standard or drop A normally. Such ignorance.
Kids that want to play in drop c and buy a 7 string are the stupid ones

TS, buy some not even slinkies or if you like a lighter top, get some heavy bottom light top slinks.

im in drop c all the time, 10's allow for pretty good bends but if u want em tighter just go with 11's and you'll be fine

Anything from 10-13s would work depending on how tight you like your strings. I use 10s for drop c / d standard now and it works fine, but I'm thinking of switching to 11s if I can find them cause the 10s are a little loose

Medium Elixirs (11s) Work pretty well on my guitar. It's just a Pacifica 112J that's been set-up properly for drop D... but it's got no issues with being detuned a step down.

I use 13s for Drop C now. They are pretty beast.

I've done it with 10-52's, felt fine to me.

And Derek, you could put a 7 in Drop C, with a low or high G. But I do agree, getting a 7 for Drop C is pretty stupid.
