Im looking at a small practice amp for home to use on my days off. And the above amp seems good on paper. Will go try it out sometime in the next week. Just after some opinions on this amp. And is there anything else in the range i should look into aswell.

buying new.
play all sorts from pink floyd to alterbridge to SRV to john mayer to beatles.

i would pick for that price a vox valvetronix for those kinds of genres

using nines for drop C# is like stringing the guitar with spaghetti

i should mention i already have a mesa dual recterfier and an express 5:50 at my studio/office.

this is merely something for home use.

If you want a better clean sound, get the fender mustang 2 but if your a metalhead, i'd go with the 40XL.

Valvetronix or a Mustang would be better suited for what you play. I have one, it can get pretty balls the wall Metal for a practice amp. Not fit for what you want a whole lot.

what about a good MFX pedal like the HD500 ?

IIRC it's the perfect practise "amp" for home

Not really into multi effects, plus id then need to get a speaker which will just get messier than a small amp.
