Hey UG,

I've been experimenting around with my guitar trying to get it to make all sorts crazy lo-fi noise, almost with a circuit bending kind of approach to it.

I installed a de-potted humbucker with one of the coils disabled into the neck position thinking that that would make it feedback like crazy whenever I switch it on but sadly it just has very very low output. One WEIRD thing it can do is when i touch the sides of the defective pickup the guitar starts making this very pronounced, thick humming sound and if you tap on any of the metal parts (the bridge etc) you can get some interesting sounds. I'm guessing that's something to do with the grounding? Like it "de-grounds" the guitar?

So basically what I'm looking for is other things I can modify/install on board the guitar to make into a crazy chaotic noisy mess.

P.S. It's an epiphone G400
