Hey there. Newbie here.

I've got a Squier strat and I kinda want to put "No-hole" pickup coves on my three single coils.

Is it as simple as buying the covers and then putting them on? It seems like if I did, it would quiet the sound and kill my input since the plastic would completely cover the magnets. I'm not even sure if it's possible to just put those kinds of covers on.

Anyway, I don't know much about pickups so any help would be appreciated.

Plastic doesn't have magnetic properties so it shouldn't have any effect on the magnetic field of the pickups.

Just get some white tape?

lol. I'm doing it for cosmetics, so that would defeat the point!

That's pretty much what I was thinking, but I figured if you put an object between a magnet and a string, it would weaken the field. Good to know, though. Appreciate it.

I doubt you'd notice any difference at all with the covers on. But if you do, just raise the pickups closer to the strings a tiny bit. That would counteract any loss in volume that the cover would cause.
