This guy called me and says he wants to trade this "vintage" bass for my Les Paul Studio faded. Can you guys tell me if this is a real bass by looking at the pics? My LP is in pretty good condition with minor scratches. He claims its a 1972 SG bass. I don't know anything about basses or even vintage guitars for that matter. Help?

Well if you don't know anything about a bass then why get one?
Hi, you're better than me. Have a nice day!

It looks a tiny bit suspicious with the text "this wont last long"., and yet HE goes after you with an offer...hmm...I'd say take it easy until you get a decent answer. You never know, a lot of people get ****ed over by others when trading instruments and I'd play it safe if I were you. It's not like the LP will be hard to sell for the right price...
