Not sure if this is the right forum...

On Saturday, I uploaded a video of me playing "Bridge Burning" by the Foo Fighters. Today, when I checked my YouTube channel, there was a message saying it couldn't be posted due to copyright infringement. I was wondering if I should even bother with a counter-claim or whatever they're called. I didn't say it was my video, in fact, I said that it was off of the new Foo fighters album, "Wasting Light". It wasn't any different than my other covers, and if I'm violating some secret YouTube code, I'd like to know. I was under the impression that I could show myself playing a song on YouTube as long as I didn't take credit for writing the song.

I'd greatly appreciate some advice on what to do, thanks,

It's not youtube that decide these law...

They are forced to do this.

If your video was delete it's because the original song play in your video. Even if this is a small part it can be deleted.

Doing cover isn't clear... Sometime they accept it and sometime they don't.

Just send it again. You wont have trouble... Trust me...
