Hello all. I have a Yamaha EG 112C. I'm trying to fix up this piece of crap haha. So first off, I'm gonna buy a new pick guard with only one bridge pickup hole. And I'll be using an EMG 81. That brings me to two questions..
  • Can I use only one EMG 81 (with no other pickups)?
  • Using the list (shown below), what size would an EMG 81 be? H1, H2, H3 or other?

• H1 = Humbucker with cover.
• H2 = Humbucker Open Coil - No Cover - two mounting holes.
• H3 = Humbucker Open Coil - No Cover - three mounting holes
• WRH = Wide Range Humbucker such as on a 72 Tele Deluxe.
• MH = Mini Humbucker - You will need to specify because these vary. If not specified we will use our most common Seymour Duncan cut.

btw the website being used is http://www.terrapinisland.com/

Second, I want to replace the bridge with a "Hipshot 6 String US Contour Tremelo."
Now one last question,
  • Will this fit in the Yamaha?

Thank you so much for your time!

- Ty

EDIT:
I have no need for a tone knob or a pickup selector switch, is there some special way to wire the pickup? or do you just not connect them and you're good to go?

Yes, absolutley
probably the same as the H1, don't quote me on it.
It should, check your string spacing first.
Just call me Julius, J, etc.
Taking an Internet break for a while, will come on when I can.
