exactly as stated. i was talking to some kid that was at a buddy's house today while we were practicing, and i was telling him about Splawn Nitro, and my rig, etc. anyways he asked how it was voiced and i felt like a blubbering idiot. i didn't know how to describe it.

its got the heavey low low mid range that makes it sound to me a bit German but not a whole lot, has a very minor peak that would make it british (i have kt88 model however) due to the upper mids, and Scott Splawn even said it was engineered on the platform of a marshall.

thoughts?

Depends on what you mean by that.

For classic rock it's a piece of shit compared to a good (read: 2203 or older) Marshall.

A Quickrod would be better for that sort of thing.

Too tight and compressed for CR. Wasn't impressed.

Edit: to clarify, by "piece of shit" I don't mean it's an awful amp - Everything Scott makes is awesome - but I wouldn't ever use one for CR in the same fashion that I wouldn't use a SS Telecaster to play Zakk Wylde stuff.

It'll work but it sounds so wrong you might as well not bother.

It breaks up nicely.
Although what he called clean was, well, not really clean enough for my tastes.


But overall...pissed off sounds like a good description.
