I am fairly new to bass and im wondering if theres any pedals/effects i should be getting. I already have a Bass Wah and Overdrive. My favourite bands to cover are Rush and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Thanks guys

If you don't already have one, a pedal tuner's pretty much mandatory if you plan on performing live.

A lot is personal preference, too. Look on MF at different types of effects (distortion, octave, pitch, etc.) and youtube big pedal reviews in those subsections. It's the best way to figure out what general sound you want or need.

It's best to try and get an idea of a good type of tone that is unique but fits your style, etc. and work on what would get you there. Less is more - you don't need a 30-pedal rig to get a good sound.
