Hey all, I'm having a bit of an issue finding a new guitar... I want a hybrid guitar, but at the same time, I want a guitar that's good for 'slapping'/'tapping'... and I'm on a bit of a budget (600 is my limit!).

Any ideas?

Thanks all!

What?

Guitars aren't "good" for anything - they're instruments. If you are more comfortable on certain ones, then that is completely valid and understandable, but that will be down to your personal preference, that we cannot help you with. Only you will know what you like.

Regardless, I am having trouble understanding what you mean - what is a hybrid guitar?

Is there any black people on UG?
I don't think a lot of black people play guitar anymore.

Sorry about that.. and sorry for the delay as well! 600 dollars (I do greatly apologize for not clarifying that)

and as far as what a hybrid guitar is, it's pretty much a guitar that's capable of playing both acoustic and electric sounds...

thanks all for the correspondence!

That could mean a few different things though, do you mean an acoustic electric, a semi hollow electric, a full hollow electric?...
