This is a riff from Fiction of Veracity from Obliveon and I'm having trouble playing it. What technique should I use? It's similar to a previous post but not the same.
It's played quite quickly (for me it seems) and

How fast is it? Tempo wise and note length.

If it's really fast, I'd economy pick it. If not, alternate picking will do just fine.

Looking at it I'd say it'd be easiest to fingerpick it. But that might not sound good depending on what style it is.

It all depends hows it played, muted for example.

I would play it with non strict alternate picking if you talking about your picking hand starting with a down stroke.
