im about to buy a jcm 800 2210 from 1989, but i was wondering what cabinet should i go with and speakers? i want something that will bring it alive with 80's metal?

any ideas ?

The stock JCM800 cabs came with 75 watt Celestions (the same ones that you'll find in modern 1960a/b cabinets). They are somewhat of a standard for that '80s sound but only seem to play nice with certain amps.

Ive got an early 80's JCM 800 1960 slant cab, and its got the 65 watt Celestions. They sound amazing for pretty much everything. Sooo much better than the 75's. Much middy-er, and very creamy under distortion.
