Budget? Playing style? Sound (Warm, bright, etc)?

For lower priced models, Yamaha makes some decent guits, and essentially anything out of the Godin family (Seagull, Godin, Art and Lutherie, etc.) are generally stellar for the price.

taylors are generally pretty nice once you get into their all solid wood range (3series and up) but many people have problems with taylor electronics. Personally I love the expression system but you should definitely give them a try.

it really depends on your budget. there's no single good brand - there are many good brands, and each makes multiple styles, so any info about your preferences would be good.
