hey guys im looking for some new guitarists to school off and well to pretty much be inspired by. i know i dont shut up up about hendrix but i have to mention him because ive pretty much been in love with his style (thumb chords, spacey sounds, rare performances etc).

im looking for passionate, emotional, meloncholic guitarists who use soul in their music. im pretty desperate as im getting bored now. they dont have to be like jimi just give me good guitarists please!

heres a few examples of sounds i dig(they are hendrix performances):

(Rush/ Alex Lifeson)

This has some sweet solos (though the intro and the actual song kinda sux IMO)....

theres these guys:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fM2qhG8mA4

and this is not actually a guitar player's band, but the frontman (band-leader) is an AMAZING piano player/composer, and the guitarist is also really good.

also as far as emotional guitar playing goes, post-rock may be a good place to look.

When I lose inspiration, I find the best thing is to go and learn a song in a genre I never listen to at all. If you can be interested in a little melodeath, I think At the Gates puts more real emotion into their music than any other metal band. Here's a link:
