i am being serious here.

here are pictures to proove it. and i pick up after myself to keep the studio clean.

should i build a giant cabinet for heads and wire up a head and cab switcher?

the problem is that other than the orange cabs, i don't have any i could stack (none the same brand/size)

all of the cabs have good speakers, actually all celestions, with a half of them being english celestions.

i don't want to get rid of any gear.

oh and i have a drumset in the closet, and a whole additional rack. and i have two more pedal boards.

and i have my workstation in my other room, and gear is bleeding into my bedroom.

Showoff.

But how tall is your ceiling? You could possibly stack some of the cabs on top of one another and have all the heads on top of one another. That'd be way more compact than what you've got going on now.

And do you really need two drum sets? Seems excessive.

i am seriously showing off how i need more space... lol.

i don't really know how much it would do though. i am very zen when it comes to organization, i guess you could say, and if it didn't look neat, i wouldn't be content.

i could stack the kustom cab on the mesa cab, the avatar on top of the randall,, so that would elimiinate a little bit, but i don't think that is the answer.

as far as the heads, i wouldn't just stacks them, shoudl i build like a rack type thing for them all?

ultimately this wont be an issue as soon as i can afford to get enough birch to build 2x12"s and sell my empty cabs. the only cabs i am going to keep would be the mesa and the randall, every other speaker would be pulled out of every cab, and put into a 2x12" that i would build, to optimize that exact speakers requirements. this is for my recorrding studio down the line.

actually it comes in handy since i am learning drums. i can drum while my frind who is helping me learn can drum too. thats the main reason. so instead of getting up and switching every few minutes, we can both play.

lets just say it works out well and is necessary.

i just dont' function well in a mess, and need to get it to where there is more space.

any solutions? oh and no i am not giving it away... lol. but i did give my friend a bass for christmas.

You might have to build an extension to your house. I dunno.

Or just suck it up until you can get your 2x12s built.

I mean, assuming you're going to acoustically treat the room you happen to have all that gear in, it'd make sense to build a whole room for it.

Or get a storage unit, and just put your stuff in there?

the actual studio is going to be at a different location. probably at a warehouse of some kind in tampa (currently i live about a half hour out of tampa). my dad does consruction, so we will just throw walls up and insulate like madmen. i have already looked into places a little bit, but it will still be a while before i have everything for it.

i think i am going to have to find some money for 2x12"s and just deal with it for now.

i would literally be able to stack those 2x12"s to the ceiling and be good. also for utility purposes when i build them, the jackplates are going into the face of the cab (front) for ease of switching to different speakers/amps for recording.

the only reason i posted this is because i went in there to play guitar and just couldn't get comfortable enough to play. its like i almost gotta drag an amp out of the room to concentrate on my playing. it just frusterated me real bad because i usually put in 3-4 hours throughout the overnight.

Not to mention the fact that just because two cabs use the same speaker doesn't mean they'll sound the same.

Example: Mesa cab with V30s and Marshall cab with V30s. Two totally different sounds for a number of reasons.

And that's not even talking about things like ported cabs or open or closed-back, front-loaded or back-loaded. There's much more to sound than just speakers. Cab construction plays a huge part.
