This didn't really fit in Songwriting/Lyrics so I put it here.

I have been writing a short 'solo' EP along with my friend because we have a place to record for free, and the music I've been writing doesn't fit with our band. The music is basically fantasy-power metal, but I've been writing quite a bit of fantasy story lyrics. Problem is, I don't sing very well, and I don't really want to. I had an idea to add the lyrics as a cohesive story, with the music being instrumental and fitting the lyrics as background music I guess. Should I do that? Or just save the lyrics for later in life? Thoughts?

How was Confucius death metal?
You've clearly never read any Confuscius.

As I wait on the edge of the earth,
I can see the walls being torn down again
Only to be rebuilt in another name,
On a different day

why not try to find someone who can put down the lyrics over your music for you?

Maybe I should just form a power metal band. Mind would explode from sheer awesomeness if that really worked out...

And I do have the option to have my aforementioned friend to sing the lyrics. He may be up for that.
