Hey there. My band are looking to experiment with dubstep in our songs. We primarily play Progressive Pop Rock so we have the usual 2 guitars, bass, drums vox set up.

The kinda thing we're looking at is subtle dubstep bass sounds. I think they're created with an oscillator? But i'm not sure.

Some examples are 1.03 here ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qkhHKUGLKM

3.04 and onwards here ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHfN_9_utiM

I've seen a bassist get the kind of sound in that video live before ^^^ but he disappeared before I could ask him what pedals he was using ¬¬

and 1.00 in this ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXkv...feature=related

I'm guessing I would need some sort of keyboard? Cakewalk or something? How hard would this be to pull off live without using samples?

Thanks. Jamie.
