Im in a slump, I dont know what song to learn and im progressing super slowly, which saddens me.

Can you recommend some good songs that arent just the same riff over and over again and will take some effort to learn?

suggest literally anything, that sounds good and that ill be proud of when I learn, please. although, blues, classic rock, and funk is preffered

I started playing guitar again when i signed up here after not having played for a year and a half, and I never really progressed before either

paranoid - black sabbath
smoke on the water- deep purple
sweet home alabama-lynyrd skynyrd
sunshine of your love-cream
day tripper-beatles
sympathy for the devil-rolling stones
communication breakdown-led zeppelin
blitzkrieg bop-ramones

there's a few that would be good to start with. good luck

No, you're not - you've made a schoolboy error there.

You're not "more advanced" than any piece of music, you either know it or you don't. And if you don't know something learning to play it and play it well will improve you as a guitarist.

Nothing wrong with looking to learn a more complex piece to test yourself, maybe have a crack at Pull Me Under by DT, but don't start that slippery slope of only looking at the complexity or speed of a piece when looking for "value". Ultimately EVERYTHING new you learn has value and will benefit you as a guitarist if you learn it, there's no such thing as "too easy". You should allow yourself to feel the same sense of achievement from learning a simple song as you do a complex one - regardless of how long it took at the end of the process you still know something that you didn't know before.

Im sorry, I just don't see how you could argue that hardcore isn't metal. That just seems arrogant to me.

Yes, its its own kind of metal, but its still metal.
