hey guys!

Straight to the point:

You know Technical Difficulties? After the first 2 measures there is this "scale" (?) it goes like this:

e-----------------------
B--------------------
G-------------------
D--------------------
A--------------7-9-10
E-----7-8-10---------

I was wondering, when I saw the TD lesson by Paul himself, he teaches a picking style that goes like this: pick down, hammer-on,hammer-on, up, down, up.

Does that picking style apply in the scale above? Because in the video I seem him pick every note!

Thanks!

In the tab I have for that song, those parts are palm muted so I don't think you'd get much ring from trying to hammer-on. I pick every note. And if Paul's picking every note in the video, I'd say he probably knows what's best for that song, and you should pick every note.

For the main riff, he picks everything in that run. It's only for the last little scale run/solo at the end of the song that he does 2 hammer-ons for every sextuplet group.

Junior's usually at least a little terse, but he knows his stuff. I've always read his posts in a grouchy grandfather voice, a grouchy grandfather with a huge stiffy for alternate picking.
Besides that, he's right this time. As usual.
