Hey guys, currently running through a Line 6 Spider IV 75 and i'm just not happy with any of the dirt sounds, the cleans are really good but not even my pedals can give a decent sound through it.

What are my option for valve amps at a budget of about £800.

Combo's would be preferred but if you guys now of a decent head for that price then let me know.

Preferably need three channel switching and no in built FX.

Cheers.

Peavey 6505, Bugera 333 and Bogner Alchemist. The last two get a lot of hate around here, but they're decent amps. The 333 is very metal-voiced, which may not suit everyone's tastes.
And yes, some of them have only two channels, but not many amps in that price range have three.

I'm a Brit Rock kid so i want like an Oasis sound for the dirt, Smiths sound for the clean and just something in between to mess around with, hence the preferred 3 channels.

I'm thinking along the lines of Fender, Peavy maybe Blackstar or Cornford.

Well if you're looking for british tones than a fender or a peavey isn't going to work too well.

you might be struggling to get something with 3 channels which'll do all those sounds- oasis isn't all that heavy, most 3 channel amps will do that level of dirt on channel 2.

Guitar volume knob?

smiths is vox ac30, right?

oasis use british-voiced amps, right?
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
