I posted this under the gear customisation forum but did not get any helpful replies so guys plz help me out

The neck on my squier strat is ****ed up beyond repair and needs to be replaced. My friend is currently in the US but its not possible for him to carry a guitar back so an upgrade is out of the question.
So this leaves me with the option of a replacement neck.
I'm browsing Ebay and cant understand how these necks are priced, the same seller has posted a MIA strat neck for 100$ but a squier neck for 129$.
Also some MIA necks are as low as 100$ and hih as 300$.

i have shortlisted some necks please take a look and comment

The MIA ones seem to have a overhang after the 21st fret so will they fit better?

Thanks

If i were you, I would measure the neck pocket, because im not so sure MIA strat necks will fit in a Squier body.

A 4-bolt Strat pocket is a 4-bolt Strat pocket. All modern USA, MIM, and Warmoth necks will fit. I've yet to find one that hasn't, and I've owned A LOT of Strats.

MIAs have 22 frets.

Also, make sure you match the years up relatively close. 70's MIA necks probably won't fit in your 2010 Squier and so forth.

70s necks are 3 bolts so no they wouldn't fit at all. also not all necks for fenders are universally compatible so i'd check the neck pocket size for sure.

Sarcasm or inflection isn't picked up through text, unfortunately. I meant the 'probably' as a sarcastic remark for 'definitely.'

Most Strats after the late 90's will have the square, 4-bolt back plate as in the Corona backplate pictured above.

Agreed! I haven't had any issues with the Squier/Fender/Musikraft/USACG and various MIJ/MIA/MIK/MII/MIC Strat necks with the configuration shown in the middle pic.
