A place for us to hang out and get info from other boffins on projects we may be working on. Students welcome also, ask any question, hopefully someone may know an answer.

I am a chemical engineer, I work in industrial sanitation, primarily in the food industry.

Right now I am developing an allen bradly touch screen/plc control system for chemical delivery systems. Since I have never worked with any of this software before it will be quite the learning experience. Does anyone have experience with allen bradly software, any suggestions on books or guides to start out with?

Thanks!!

Lowly student here [doing genetics though so it's not a shit subject - OMG elitism], so I shall bow out of this thread.

I've got nothing beyond the mental sciences.

You know, brain chemistry, psychology, hypnotherapy.

After that, I'm a bit useless outside of writing. Once I get my Doctorate of Letters, I'll look up this thread and necro it.

Well, I AM planning to be an electrical engineer (trying to at least). What's the difference between them and an electronics engineer?

Electronics is more system and algorithm based. Electrical is more physical circuitry work.

i'm sure theres a heap of engineers and scientists on here...i think the engineers made a thread for themselves.

really i shouldn't be posting in here, but if it counts im a budding scholar in the field of pussyology.

welcome everyone, good luck with your studies!! it can be tough but most people who go into engineers have a brain wired for mathematics so it's not too bad. Hell if i can graduate anyone can!!

If I write this in my exam, my lecturer with either really hate me or really love me.

Either way, I'm not happy with the situation.
