Today i was at my local record exchange, browsing the instruments section usually filled with crappy crate combos, onyx guitars and the like.
when i stumbled upon a SD Convertible 60 combo amp, i plugged it in and it worked.

i offered the guy $250, he tried to scab $600 out of me so i told him it'll need a service, a new reverb tank, and pointed out the the control pot for the reverb was missing.
he took $300 and i get home to find that i had been hit with karma, there actually was no ****ing reverb tank. piss!

anyway, it needs new tubes, it's quite hissy and when i get it all back to working order i'll turn it into a head.

i might invest in some of the interchangeable modules for different sounds. cool story bro.

any insight into what might be causing the hissing?

it's in good condition, but i removed the chassis to find the Pot for the reverb has been un-soldered and removed along with the reverb tank.

replacing the pot with be easy i suppose, but there are no wires protruding from the chassis to run to the tank. difficulties i guess.
