Hello there,

I'm considering creating a website, hopefully containing a comprehensive database full of guitar wiring schematics. Would you see this as a helpful tool? Being guitar players, would you ever visit it?

Are there any ideas which you would like to see as part of this website?

Any help welcome,

Thank you.

Yes, but:
1) There are plenty of guitar customisation websites which offer wiring diagrams
2) Each pickup manufacturer uses different colour codes for the wires
3) Each pickup manufacturer provides wiring diagrams on their website. Seymour Duncan has a shitload of different arrangements and switching options.

Basically, yes, it would be useful if it were the only site of its kind. Don't limit yourself to just guitar wiring diagrams. Include other stuff, like guitar set-up techniques, or other guitar related technical articles.

It would be helpful, but Seymour Duncan has a ton of high quality diagrams up for free.

Put pornographic images into your site. That is what is called a Unique Selling Point.

Interesting you mentioned the idea of having set-up techniques, etc. Great idea! As far as the different colour codes used by different pickup companies, surely if I could include a key which would indicate which wire is what depending on the brand than this problem would be eliminated?

My website would also be for free.

I suggest you also include an instructional video on replacing pickups, and a guide to soldering, because some people seem afraid to do it themselves.

Another brilliant idea! I know exactly what you mean, it would be fantastic for someone to come onto the forum asking about exactly how to replace pickups correctly then they could be simply linked to the video.
