few , questions , is "hosa" any good of a brand? and are there pros and cons of the shrink tube cabling and the cloth covered cables ?

I've never read a good review on anything Hosa. I would stay away.

get livewire, monster, planet waves, or any other cable that has a lifetime warranty. yes they cost a bit more than cheap brands, but they have a LIFETIME warranty. if anything ever happens at all, your local guitar center will replace the cable no questions asked. i actually borrowed a cable from my neighbor, he left it at my house, it shorted, and my friend took it to guitar center and they just swapped it out without any hesitation. it wasn't even his cable!

I've had 2 monster cables for over 10 years now. No issues. They out last input jacks by a long shot!
