How would I record a good sounding breakdown in guitar rig 4? Whenever I try, Its either too bassy, or too trebly, or it just doesn't sound good. What's a good metal patch on it to use? Also, any settings and advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

i personally hate the distortion on amp emulating programs such as line 6's gearbox. the cleans are nice though.

i could never find a good sound for metal.

get a 6505 with a cab loaded with v 30's ;D

On youtube should be some of the tracks from the Lamb of God producer edition of Sacrament, find one with the guitar soloed out and give a listen. I was surprised at how trebly (and low gain) the tone actually was without the bass guitar giving reinforcement.

This. Bass guitar is huge in the mix for metal (as surprising as that may sound )
