I have a sansamp bddi and it get a good tone every now and them and its a good damp sim for what I want to do which is di recording. My question. Is would getting a vt bass pedal over ride the functions of the bddi or can I do like straight amp sim with the bddi and the use the vt for coloring and actual tone or would they not work well together

Yep, you can!

Good luck with the recording!

Word of Wisdom: The VT BAss can be a bit fickle... just mark or REALLY remember your settings when you record if you want the same tone again. It's probably the most sensitive pedal i have ever owned... sounds GREAT... but super touchy.

Why not get the VT Deluxe? It has a DI and a bunch of other stuff too. Hell you can even mod the normal VT to have a DI.
