Iight so i got some Generic Tele guitar by LADY LUCK industries..

I do not know what kind of wood it is.

Buuut

I really want to strip all the paint off and go for a Stain finish

Dark Cherry almost a blood red color

how can i achive this? and what kind of wood dose this guitar have? and or how can i find out?


most ppl never ehrd of the company ive done alot of reserch to find what the material the wood is with no luck.


so yea.. what kind of would dose it use..or how can i find out.(by looking at the guitar)

and how can i stain it a DARK RED

You really need a grainy wood to pull of a nice stain.
Cheap generic guitars usually have cheep, grainless woods.

If you do, bear in mind that when you sand it, you'll lose whatever grain the guitar had if it's cheap and it won't be very spectacular,

Stain it as you would a piece of wood.. it is after all, a piece of wood.

If you've never stained wood before, go youtube it. It's not hard. I have to do a lot of it when I'm doing gardening jobs.
There's a good chance that what I've written above is useless and if you take any of the advice it's your own fault.

Ive Stained a Few times. Mainly the Deck of my house and what not.

My dad dose alot of wood working as carpentry is a hobbie of his.
