'Ello again! Now usually it takes me longer to get what I consider full song lyrics done, but this one sorta just came to me. I guess you could consider it "made on the spot." Anyway, I plan to revise and rethink parts of it, but I wanted to try to experiment getting that "direct approach" in with some use of imagery/symbolism. All comments are appreciated.

Our Hearts at War

It's all a game to you
To the victor goes the spoils
Plan out your every single move
To lure the queen towards you

I'm not that kind of person
To me this is real
But if you two are going to treat me like a pawn
Just throw me away so I don't have to feel the pain

Why should I feel so envious
About something that I know I'll lose in the end
Everything is a competition
That's the way of life he said

I'm not the knight your looking for
I'm just a pawn gazing at his queen
But what chance do I have in the world
When he's the hand-of-God_

Just tell me that you hate me
So I can start hating you

This isn't a choice for me anymore
I don't think that I change the way I feel
Tell me this is real
I know that you would never look my way
No matter what I say, I can't be like him
Just tell me that I've lost

Warfare on a new battle ground
Where your wit is the only weapon
From the start I never had a chance
And I knew it

But tell me why I'm still fighting a war
That I know that I'm going to lose
The only blood that's spilt
Will be the blood from my heart

Just tell me that you hate me
So I can start hating you

This isn't a choice for me anymore
I don't think that I change the way I feel
Tell me this is real
I know that you would never look my way
No matter what I say, I can't be like him
Just tell me that I've lost

I know that I can never compare to you
I can just be thrown away without a care
Just promise me one thing, at all costs
That you'll give her what she needs

Just tell me that you hate me
So I can start hating you

This isn't a choice for me anymore
I don't think that I change the way I feel
Tell me this is real
I know that you would never look my way
No matter what I say, I can't be like him
Just tell me that I've lost
