The 60 dollar guitars at Walmart are made of plywood. Get new body now. Serious.
Plywood is the shittiest tone you can ever get from something that resembles wood(Plastic is the shittiest in my opinion.).

If you have to keep the plywood, solid finish.

They are shit because they cost $60 not because they are made of plywood.

If Ibanez, Jackson, ESP etc made a plywood guitar to the same standard as their other top of the range instruments and put a solid finish on it I bet 99% of people wouldnt say they sounded bad, or even notice the difference.

unless its fiber board or particle board that kills sustain like an MFer, it wont be that bad... its wood afterall.
