Damn, she used to be sooooo hot back in the late 90s.

Anyway friends, I haven't been doing too much bizzare covers because I'm currently doing music for a video game.

This is a work in progress, but I fully intend to make this song my bitch when I'm done with it. http://tindeck.com/listen/jxdh

Currently there's still issues with it mix wise and it's nowhere near done........I'm also pretty sure the guitar is out of sync. Damn mic was givin' me some latency issues. Though I did sidechain the guitar to create a "pump" type effect like the bass.

Anyway, I want you guys help me out here. Give your feedback and suggestions for what I should do with this cover. I'm going to launch a new youtube channel in the near future with higher quality remixes than my past ones. Finally got some higher end stuff.

Shit, while I'm at it. Here's a completed Remix of Eddy Wata's "La Bomba". No guitar in it though http://tindeck.com/listen/xspr

TL;DR tell me what you think of them links and leave a link to your thread.

Those are sick man, I really like the beat in the Christina Aguilera one, what gear are you using for mixing? The La Bomba one's good as well, the bass is really dirty. I'm not sure if my covers are exactly your style but I'll leave a link anyway

Keep it up bro, you're doing a good job

Thanks a ton man! I'll check out your covers and leave some comments on your thread. As for style, I love any genre really. Believe it or not, my favorite genre is actually speed/power metal type bands lol. Electronica is a lot of fun for it's energy though. Like metal.

For mixing, I just use FL Studio. I've tried stuff like Orion, Reason etc but for me FL is the easiest to understand lol.

Other than that, just a simple Yamaha MIDI keyboard, my trustworthy Jackson guitar, and a Samson mic......soon to be replaced with a Shure SM57.

Oh and for the record, I have no clue what "La Bomba" means or is about.

Although i liked the x-man and mortal kombat stuff more. I can hear you are very talented, good quality stuff (sounds like a prof remix) The guitar parts sounds a bit like deep dish :-P

Cheers,

Thanks!

Deep dish you say? Flashdance time! lol. Actually I totally hear that, I think Genie in a bottle is in the same key too.

I'll check out your cover!

The Christina Aguilera one definitely feels a bit too off beat. I think that's just because the guitar is playing on offbeats while the song is more accented for the on beats. I'd look into it a bit more to try and get them to sound better.

The La Bomba one was great. It has a great feel and drive to it that just makes it extremely easy to listen to. I love listening to these kinds of remixes of popular songs. Just makes me smile on the inside

Again good work. IF you have some time, could you check out my work?

Yeah >.< I'm thinking about just scrapping it and starting it over. It's actually a pretty challenging song to remix into a faster tune.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you liked La Bomba!

I'll check your thread now.

K, it's official I'm starting the Christina thing over. I got a new idea for a remix in the original tempo. I'm thinkin' it'll be more metal than electronic this time.

Lol well there's a million techno/trance/electronic covers out there anyway.
