Seriously, what isn't "liberal propaganda" to Glenn Beck? I'm pretty sure he can find some allegory to Comrade Obama in a lesbian porn film set in a High School locker room.

I think he knows he's irrelevant too because of the things he said when he put his producer dude on blast. Talked about how working on his show is a a step down from his previous jobs.

Okay, trudging through the bullshit, there is one thing I have a problem with Glee. I don't think its propaganda or any of that nonsense, but it does send out a message our generation has been getting since we were kids. It's just the high school version of everyone getting trophies.
And you guys may say its not a big deal, and maybe it isn't, but the whole everyone is great, unique, special, amazing, is so annoying to me now. I just get the sense that it confuses kids more than inspires them

Bill Maher was talking about how our kids have the worst grades but the most confidence. Its true, our generation, from the getting the trophies for doing nothing, for being told how great we are when we did nothing, have this false sense of accomplishment that gives us great confidence now, but the moment we meet failure we are screwed, we've never been taught to handle it.

I don't know, maybe I'm just worried about nothing, but it feels like society is delaying our generation's maturing process and we're going to get screwed over the whole ordeal.

I think Glee is a horrible role model for kids but Beck always has to make it a conspiracy theory.

Wait, I just realized you're from Oklahoma. I'm from OKC. We may have had this conversation before, but it's always nice to see a fellow okie on the boards.

Yea, I've only been here for like...Four years.

It is pretty cool. I'm from an area south of Tulsa and go to school in Tahlequah.

Anyway. Glee could have been a cool show but instead they made it a ****ing soap opera. Glenn Beck is a tool. /thread.

I can't stand Glee, and hate Glenn Beck with every fiber of my being.

Glee's not propaganda, it's just tokenism taken to ridiculous extremes.

Oh, I've definitely seen you around, we've even had conversations in other threads. I've just never realized you were from Oklahoma. I don't know, it may just be me who feels a weird connection to everyone from Oklahoma, like SteveHouse is from Weatherford. I just think it's part of our culture, look at anyone who got famous from Oklahoma, and Oklahomans are usually pretty proud of them.

I do the same thing.

I think it's because we aren't the high on the list of popular states.
