Does Mark Knopfler have a unique picking style or does it have a name? I'd love to look it up and 'learn it' but you can't look up something without a name now can you?

Mark Knopfler fingerpicks with a style called "clawhammer," which is typically reserved for banjo playing. Few guitarists do it, making him probably the most prominent.

Clawhammer you say. Up until this point i've tried to avoid anything that rhymes with Warhammer. Any chance it has another name?

Thanks a lot, i'll look into clawhammer. Much appreciated.
