My bass guitar has started to sound like it's distorted... While it's not plugged into any effects. I'm confused as to why it sounds fuzzy now all of a sudden! I just want a clean bass guitar but it's giving off such a low grainy sound! I don't know what the problem is The only new thing I've done with it is plug in a distortion pedal used for a guitar into it, but it's said to be for both and it was only once... And it's not the amp that's doing it either, I play guitar on it just fine...
If your bass has a battery in it (or two), change it/them. That distortion is a sign that the battery/batteries are about to croak.
What's the bass, and what's the amp your using?
You are a good man, I had no idea that this bass had a battery! Why is this?
Yeap, it was the batteries. Thanks! It's a Six String Douglas.
it has active pickups and or electronics. active basses need batteries to run their stuff.
