It's crayon and anyone who says differently talks stupid.

Yea, also why are there so much of these threads appearing lately?

This.

The way people these days pronounce all these words in ways that make no sense phonetic whatsoever gets annoying.

For example, it's not "sam-wich", it's 'sand-wich'.

I've never heard anybody say "Crahn" but then I don't often discuss crayons. What kind of accent is "Crahn" supposed to be in?

I hear it all the time here in the Midwest.

The right kind!

In all seriousness I think it's just more common in places where people pronounce their consonants more than their vowels (typical of urban areas and the surrounding suburbs).

All the way up until last year it was Crahn, but then I began feeling ackward about it and over time it eventually melded into an odd combination of the two. Kinda like "Krayin".

I always grew up pronouncing it as crann (lrn2phonetics FFS) but I've been making an effort to pronounce it as crayon for quite a while.

On that note, fuck crayons. They suck.

Americans pronounce Crayon the same as Qur'an? (if I'm interpreting you guys right)

I don't understand why you don't say this correctly, I mean some words I can understand due to spelling, but... this one is pretty easy, there aren't any crazy vowel complications. Crayon = cray-on
