My new guitar is going to arrive tomorrow, it's second hand, so I'm wondering if I'm going to need it set up. The guy I bought it from said he had it done recently, but you can never be sure with these things, so what are the things you'd check when you first received a new guitar?

Thanks

I'm just guessing here, but don't you want it set up so it plays like you like to play your guitars? (:

Intonation has nothing to do with the buzzing that is caused my either the action being to low and/or the neck having too much tension or too little.

If the guitar doesn't play how you like, then it would be appropriate to get it up .
