I have this on my blog, but I wanted to have some comments on it. I'm waitin' for some of my other friends to show up on the site... So, yeah. This is a slower song, and it sounds odd when you read it fast...

vs. 1: How come we can sit around while the world burns
Men and women enjoying their lives while the bullets fly...
people enlistin' to protect a country
that we call free...
No, no one ever learns...
-------Riff--------
vs. 2: Yeah, that bell on Sunday means we can get up, and go to church
And that alarm clock means get the coffee and off to work
-Give a kiss to your baby...
But maybe, just maybe...
-----Chorus-----
To the soldiers out there
You know you're in our prayers
And to show that we care
I write these songs and give a little somethin' to spare
But we all know that that ain't enough
The hardships and sacrifice that you cain't lie or make up
... Yeah to the soldiers out there..
vs. 3: I wake up every mornin' feelin' fine
When I know someone else's life is on the line
Ya I see, I know how the service works
They get ya into shape til' it hurts
-I just drink my Whiskey...
That I poured for three
----Chorus----
For the soldiers out there
And for the burdens that you bear
And to show that we care
I write these songs, and give a little to spare
But we all know that that ain't enough
The hardships and sacrifice that you cain't make up
... Yeah to the soldiers out there
... To the soldiers out there...
-Repeat and fade-
That's it. I would disclose chords, and the beginnings riff, but I don't want people takin' my ideas.
