So i got a music man stingray like this one

I don't like this pickguard style and want the normal music man bass pickguard like this one
http://taygun.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/music-man-stingray-4-string-electric-bass-guitar.jpg%3Fw%3D500

so i am going to redo the finish on my bass and was wondering if i could just fill in the holes from my old pickguard. Then replace with the other normal music man pickguard, would this work? or do the basses have different body and routing styles?

The 5 string version has a different sized pickup, so you'd have to make your own pickguard if you can't find a teardrop shaped 5 string one.
In the bass chat:

<Jon> take the quote of me out your sig plx
<Jon> i hate seeing what i said around lol

There is a 5 string Stingray with a normal pickguard I think...the Stingray classic. But your best bet is to cut your own pickguard. Musicman don't usually sell parts for basses.
