no, but really, i would have to say muse. their drummer is amazing (assassin), their bassist is equally amazing (time is running out) and the guitarist/vocalist matt bellamy is perfect (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99I7gpswhQ4)

also, hate their music, but dying fetus seem to be really talented too.

Equally involved? Well, there are a number of musical collectives, which are more or less bands, only without a defined "leader" and with everyone contributing to the songwriting process. Animal Collective, naturally, is a collective.

Equally talented? Mahavishnu Orchestra.

Led Zeppelin?...

lolllolololol

John Paul is ten times better than the rest.

Although I would say Tool.
Guitars:

i would have to say dave matthews band; carter beauford is an amazing drummer, stefan lessard is a great bass player, dave matthews is an awesome acoustic rhythm player, and then boyd tinsley on violin and (well, i'm not gonna say jeff coffin.) leroi moore is the greatest saxophone player EVER.
Everyday things change..

Basically they stay the same.

I was going to say Dream Theater, but then I remembered their vocalist...so I'll have to go with The Black Keys aaaaaaand let's say The Kills? Anyone?

The Beatles were all fairly involved... Maybe not equally talented though...
Red Hot Chili Peppers - except maybe Anthony.
Tool and Dream Theater are both pretty talented too.

Also, supergroups anyone??

John Mayer Trio. Probably going to get flamed by the bandwagon for that, but they're really good.
Dream Theater
Symphony X
Cog
Stone Sour
Lamb of God
Devildriver
Trivium
etc, etc...

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to put it, along with your other advice, into a book, the pages of which I will then use to wipe my ass.

Hmmm, Porcupine Tree has the inhuman Gavin Harrison so they are outruled.

Muse indeed, though technically Matthew Bellamy isn`t that good at guitar.

Dream Theater, Tool +1

I think the bassist of Jamiroquai beats out the rest, he`s a genius sometimes...

Maybe Mastodon?

Charlie Parker? Coleman Hawkins? Sonny Rollins? John Coltrane? Ornette Coleman? Albert Ayler? Wayne Shorter? Michael Brecker? Kenny Garrett (not to be confused with Kenny G, the shitty smooth jazz sax player whose full name is Kenny Gorelick)?

I mean, come on, man. So many far better sax players to pick from.
