So basically I saw this girl in my music class with a tattoo on her neck.
After secretly photographing it while lowering my hat and raising the collar on my trenchcoat, I proceded to google to find an image of said tattoo.
This is what I came up with.

After getting a nod from my girlfriend and her saying "Go for it!" , I thought about it more and thought "Wait...is this a little feminine?"

So, Pit, honest answer, is this too feminine, or should I get this tattoo?

EDIT: Personally, I'm leaning towards "It might not be..", but the fact I doubted it led me to ask this question.

Why did you photograph it instead of just asking?

Yes, it's extremely gay.

A lot of people have tattoos like that, that would put me off getting it more than any gender that may or may not be attached to it

Because I'd much rather be that freak who photographs people when they're listening in a lecture than the guy who talks to people.

But seriously, she scares me.

Honestly, kinda feminine. My little sister has something almost exactly like that behind her right ear. Mod it (a lot) and you might have something.

I personally wouldn't have that tattoo, it's a clever design though.

It's gonna be awkward as hell when you get the tattoo and the girl in your class asks you where you got the idea from...

It's not really gender specific, but depending on where you get it you could look lame.

I'd say avoid the neck and the wrist at all costs, that'd look douche-worthy.

That is some feminine shit, right there.

Make it more metal. Add some spikes and some dripping blood and you're set...
#18
Draw it like it's melting and covered in blood and you might be on to something near masculine.

Doesn't Delirium have a tattoo exactly the same as that?

It's cool - though to make it more masculine make the edges rougher/more spikey.

Feminine or not you're just copying someone else tattoo. Why not just come up with something of your own?

Don't get a tat that some chick in your class already has. If you are going to copy anybody's tattoo copy one of GG Allin's.
#25
Depends on where you get it.
On its own it looks a bit feminine, but you could add to it.

At least 4 billion people have this:

Tattoos are fashion, now. It's good though, because at least you can tell someone is a twat just by looking at them.

taste is personal. I won't do it, but I would understand someone who is really into this design.

It does scream 'look at me I'm a musician (who is really into theory)' a bit though.

It won't be a problem. Just make it slightly more personal, because it will be on your body forever.

A girl I know is getting a treble clef round the other way with a bass clef to make a heart shape. Her design looks pretty cool

So how's musical notation feminine, exactly? It's a good design, though I personally wouldn't want a tattoo that's identical to one someone else has.

Not feminine per say, I'm just not a fan.

I was about to question why no one gets bass clef tattoos, it's always a treble clef, then I saw maiden man's post.

Get a tattoo that looks like a penis contorted into a treble clef, that's what I'd do.

No such thing as an effeminate tattoo. As long as it suits you, means something to you, and is well done...it's what it is. Just a picture.
Stop being insecure and get it. Or design your own so you don't look like a proper freak. Photographing people in secret and copying what they have on their body. That's borderline stalker.

THAT'S MY ARM!!!!

I decided to meld the two together a lot more naturally. I did see the variation in the first post, but no decent looking ones like my one, so I went with that.

In my opinion, it's the roundness that makes it feminine. Maybe make it a tad less round, and it could be good.
