Sup y'all! I finished a new song with my new guitar, a prs standard 24! I love this thing, it's like the excalibur of guitars! I set it up in drop C and started writing this song a few days ago. It's a symphonic technical melodic metal kind of thing. lol. Finally finished writing all the synth parts today, phew. Check it oot!

Sounds great! The mix is really nice, for some reason I love the sound of the snare drum especially. The 00:52 riff is just awesome.

The guitars feel really well written, but I found myself somewhat uninterested in the orchestral parts even in sections where they felt like they were supposed to be the focus. It often felt like the parts lacked drive, like they were meandering around. I found 01:38 quite good though, there was a clear melodic outline and drive in the synth's part.

If you feel like critiquing back, I would really like your thoughts in this thread:

Thanks for the comments! The synth stuff is Gladiator, and the orchestral and choral stuff is EWQL Symphonic Orchestra and Symphonic Choirs Gold.

Thanks descara! Good ear! The reason they sound like they are just wandering around aimlessly is because they are! hahaha! I honestly don't know shit about orchestral arrangements and such. I like old Dimmu and of course Swedish metal so I just kind of imitate what I think one of those bands might do. The song is pretty 'busy' so I found it a challenge to find notes and stuff that fit, especially because it's pretty atonal.
