Meh, I personally wouldn't do that to a guitar, kinda looks trashy.

Just thought i'd say, It's not a Gibson.

It's fine... People go all nuts for the crap Tom Morello writes on his guitars, not to mention the Monterey Pop Strat, etc. This is no worse than those.

sharpie can look nice, like on satch's guitar. steve vai usually just has small text on his. but i don't like how its looking on yours. the writing is too large, messy and theres nothing to balance it out, like a pickguard or something.

I've used sharpies to touch up my guitars and make dots by the tone knobs where a dial would be but I've never done a whole design with one. Always wanted to, but the few guitars I own I value to much for their natural colors. Perhaps on my boring black bass...

I always get the "I'm trying too hard to be punk" feel from Sharpie painted guitars. When done right it can look awesome or deliver a message (i.e. Morello and Satch) but I don't care for most of the random doodles on the ones I see online. Each to his own I guess....

I know I'm necrobumping this thread, but I gotta question...

I use Sharpie markers, and color pencils to do guitar art (or, as I sometimes call it... Guitart)

Anyways, I've sold the one on the right (An Ibanez 7 string with a Floyd Rose) for $500...

And I'm wanting to get $400 out of the blue Ibanez Gio GSZ120...

My question is, are these prices fair? Should I go lower, higher, or stick with what I'm doing?

I'm sanding these down, fixing damage, doing my art and paints, then having them clear coated at an autobody shop, then I restring and intonate them. So yeah, any help or thoughts would be appreciated!!!

I really appreciate the help, and the compliments!!!

I've really been trying to price fairly and still make good on these. I was curious cuz I've been trying to sell the blue one for a few weeks now and had no hits on it. But I guess I just need to expand my markets.
Thanks again!

Oh, and here's 2 more detailed and higher rez gallery of the process if anyone's interested:
